Team

International recording artist and saxophonist Phil Denny has built an impressive resume of notable achievements locally, nationally and internationally as a performing musician, recording artists and event producer. Since well before his 2012 debut CD release "Crossover," the three-time Billboard charting artist has been earning friends, fans, respect and appreciation from music listeners, concert goers and industry colleagues while being recognized as a "people's musician." His travels have taken him all over the US, Dubai, UAE and Africa and can often be scene performing as a sideman with veteran artists of the smooth jazz format. Personal recordings of note are "Crossover," "The Messenger" and "Upswing." Phil's latest independent and artist-produced Armory Smooth Jazz Fete is the result of a culmination of ideas, shared stories and experiences as a touring performing artist.  As a first-hand witness, Phil has watched and learned what it takes to create an engaging outdoor entertainment experience and careful planning is well underway for the inaugural Phil Denny's Armory Smooth Jazz Fete coming August 12, 2017. The fete, labeled as fresh, hip and fashionably current, will support music styles ranging from smooth, contemporary, modern, pop and R&B which are not currently found on the festival map locally in this fashion. The one day ticketed fete will be host to five notable acts and will offer adult concert goers a unique and engaging outdoor concert experience.  Phil is a proud product of the Lansing School District, an LCC graduate and received a B.A. from Olivet College in business administration and marketing. Additionally, he is the founder and CEO of Off-Sheet Music, LLC and producer, promoter and host of the monthly Gallery Suite Jazz Series, the annual Phil Denny & Friends Christmas Collective and has been the creator of many other Lansing area music showcases featuring a host of renowned artists.
